Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to thank all of my friends and family who wished me a Happy Mother's Day!

I also wanted to thank Baby Ava for making her self known last night.  I was lying in bed and started to feel a series of "pops" in my stomach and it was Miss Ava moving around.  Travis was disappointed that he was not able to feel this, but I know that in a couple of weeks he should be able to feel her kicking from inside me.

I also wanted to thank my mommy for all that she does for me, I would not be the person I am today without her!

I also wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to my "Big Sis", Theresa.  Her first child was born yesterday on Mother's Day and she also waited to find out the gender until birth.  Her son was born yesterday and I cannot think of a better Mother's Day gift.

It's a Girl!

I am excited to announce that Ava Marie Swearingen will be joining us around September 23rd!  I feel so blessed that Travis and I are going to be parents to a sweet baby girl!  

At my last appointment, Ava weighed 9 ounces and was extremely active on the ultrasound.  Although she is an active little girl, I still have not felt her yet and I cannot wait for the day when I feel her kick from inside me =)

I have already started to plan her nursery, and I love that we are receiving furniture from our families.  Both Travis and I were given the rocking chairs that we used when we were little.  My mother also let us borrow the cradle that was used in her family and was also used to rock my sister, brother, and I when we were babies.  My mother believes that the cradle is over one hundred years old, but it is still in great condition and will be great for Ava to sleep in her first couple of months.

I cannot wait to meet my daughter...
