Florida Trip

While we have been very busy this year and have already been lucky enough to take a lot of great vacations, we planned a couples trip to Florida around mid-May after our friend, Joe, had bid on and won a golf trip to Sawgrass at a Silent Auction.  I do not know a lot about golf but the PGA plays at Sawgrass and this was on all of our husbands bucket list to play.

Since this started out as more of a boys trip, Travis and I decided to make plans and head down the weekend before the boys golf time and stay at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge on Amelia Island where we had previously stayed when we celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary.  It is a great little Bed and Breakfast that provides a lot of R&R and a yummy breakfast.  After one night at the B&B, Joe and Becca, came in to stay on Saturday night.

On Sunday evening we picked up Joc and Kaitlin from the airport and headed to Palm Coast where Joc and Kaitlin let us stay with them at their family friends condo on the beach.  The beach is called Cinnamon Beach and once we went out in the morning and saw the beautiful brown/red sand, we could see why it was called this. The girls enjoyed some outlet shopping and beach time while the boys were away at Sawgrass. We flew home on Wednesday evening while the other couples stayed through Sunday but we had to get back in time to start the festivities for Miss Ava's 2nd Birthday!

Labor Day Weekend

We were so excited for Labor Day weekend because we had a lot of family time planned but mainly because we were able to meet our new niece/cousin, Denbigh Annabelle, for the first time!!!  I was a little worried that she would no longer have the baby feel to her  but I was so happy to hold the small little bundle of girlie joy and was so happy that she was still a cuddly new baby!  We are all so in love with her and she is perfect as can be.

Friday night we had dinner with Aunt Ann, Uncle Floyd, and Jen since they all were in town before heading over to the Swearingen's for the weekend.  We decided to stay over all three nights which gives the cousins and the daddy's 24/7 of fun together!

Saturday afternoon we hosted a Sip N See for Baby Denbigh for some friends and family to come over and meet her.  It was a great afternoon and I was so happy that Emilie brought her new family photo's that she had just received for us to display.

Too Cute for Words!

On Sunday morning Emilie and I took the children downtown to ride Thomas the Train.  While Ava and Jacob did not realize that we were on a train, they enjoyed fighting over the seat and the seat control.  Afterwards there were lot of Thomas activities that they did enjoy.

After naps and when the sun came  back out we ended the day with some swimming.

After we left the Swearingen's on Monday, we drove out to Columbia to see Grandpa and Grandma K.  It was a great family weekend from start to finish.

Some of Ava's Cuteness for you

Ava now has her favorite toys and they go EVERYWHERE with her.  She has named them all by herself.  Below is Baby, Pig, Neigh Neigh, and Doggy (who is really a bear but is a little confusing for her since they both have four legs.)

Ava received an early Birthday gift from Aunt Karen and Uncle George.  It is a new highchair for her toys and we put it together one night after she went to bed and had it ready for her in the morning by placing Pig in it.  She was so excited to see the chair and she ran over and threw Pig out and said "My Chair!" and so she has this new chair to sit in...and she does all of the time.

The Penguin Classroom

Ava moved up to the Penguin Classroom this year at Calvary United Methodist Church.  They now have two, 2  year old classrooms and sadly Ava was separated from most of her friends because of how her Birthday fell.  Despite this her new classroom is wonderful and she comes home everyday with sand in her hair and shoes and covered in either paint, chalk, or something else.  I know she has a blast at school and luckily her clothes as well as herself wash up at the end of the night.

Of course I had to get the penguin lunch box and matching backpack for school.  They could only monogram the backpack because the lining on the lunch box was too thick.

Ava had to go and get her stuffed friends to join her for the pictures...I cannot stand the cutest of my child!
